well, what a service. 09:45 hrs and she has arrived.
im so excited i am shaking......
unpacked and its the dogs dangly bits.
needs a clean, set up and new strings.

I have sent the pictures and serial number stuff off to warwick, to do a cross check, but its rapidly becoming the go to bass, the FNA jazzman is sulking.
has anybody any idea how long warwick take to do a serial number check?
I'm not expecting miracles, i mean there must be a pile of paper somewhere in the archive room.

I did the same thing for a serial number and got a friendly response directly from HPW himself within about a day. I imagine the timing depends on what's going on in the office, though.

How would you describe the sound compared to the Jazzman?

hi, i guess so. i just want somebody from warwick to say yes, it is what it should be, even though i know it is.
for a sound comparison, i would say it is certainly warmer than the jazzman, but i'll give a more detailed view when she has been restrung and set up for me.
they are very different beasts.

we don't really have a sn database for such an old instrument. It is 100% genuine, built in october 1988, Wenge with afzelia stripes neck, afzelia body, ying yang inlays, bartolini pickups, 2 band EQ, it should be MEC.

P.S. SSII is a very different animal than a streamer Jazzman.

Hi, firstly thanks for the comments, she truly is a stunner.
my guitar tech's jaw hit the floor when he saw it.
full set up, pots cleaned, body polished, frets and neck cleaned.
restrung with d'addario XL round wound 45-105s
she sounds fantastic way more aggressive and in your face than the corvette FNA Jazzman.
i am totally stoked to have found her and to have her in my musical life.
brilliant, just brilliant.
