Help to fix my Streamer Stage II

Last year I bought a used 98 Streamer Stage II. I got it at a good price but obviously had some issues.

First of all, the bass has a crack that goes from the neck to bottom of the body. Looks like one of the body wings started to separate or unglue. I was told isn`t a structural damage and shouldn`t go far.

The 2nd problem is that the previous owner never seemed to care too much about the bass manteinance and I guess never oiled or waxed the bass.

I`d like to know is the first issue is repairable (and how) and how can treat its surface to make it become "alive" again.

Hey mate,Lovely bass ya have.I have an 07 model.
The crack can be fixed pretty easily & cheaply by a luthier.
The finish is no problem either.Get some fine sand paper or wet & dry,maybe 600,then 900,then 1200.After this you could then use a green scotchbrite pad.Then apply some Warwick wax & buff off.A layer of wax will build up over subsequent applications & your baby will be back to looking as good as it sounds.

Not a big deal matey, your bass will be as new. The bass is in this condition probably because it was not maintained... The luthier can refinish your bass too, so you don't need to do it yourself.

You can also contact your country-s distributor, and he can help you send the bass to us, and fix it by our guys ;-)

Who are "our guys" here in the USA? Is it DBG? Or someone else? I'm interested in getting my '98 SS2 touched up as well. How much would it cost?

Thanks a lot for the help. I supposed it was a bigger problem.
I`m from Argentina and AFAIK this might one be of the few SS II 4 here.
There are good luthiers here, but I surely prefer to send it to expert hands over there.
