Greetings U.S. Warwick Fans:

I received the Hellborg from Tyler at the NY Showroom a few weeks back and now it’s time to pass it along!

I am going to do my best to coordinate the US tour as efficiently as I can, though with 18+ participants I know it will be challenging.

The first thing I’m going to do is send an email to the individuals that previously expressed interest in participating to confirm that you still are interested. Please respond to this email by August 31st with a “yes” or “no”. If you are a “yes” also please include your shipping address and phone number. Given the large number of participants I will have to keep to strict deadlines.

The list of participants is below. If you are not on the list and want to be included please email me at [email protected] before August 31st.

Thought I ought to give an update. To date I've received 7 "Yes" responses and 5 "No" responses.

FYI - I was not involved in the previous attempt to organize the tour, so I don't have the info you may have provided back then.

Here we go - I just shipped the Hellborg to Tracy!!!

Here's the list of folks participating in the US Tour (in order):

Approximately 2 weeks per person. We can be a bit flexible if necessary, but remember that everyone is eager to take this baby for a test drive! ;)
 
Id be interested in hearing peoples thoughts/opinions after they test drive the unit ...

Two weeks! Yeah, right! I was due to have this around April. In usual Warwick fashion: no explanation of why something takes many more months than expected to arrive. A little more transparency would be appreciated.
 
Hi Paul, this tour have nothing much to do with Warwick. It is our tour, and since the preamp left it was more or less in our hands. Most of the delays happened because the shipping was difficult, also collecting the money from US.. etc took time. The preamp was literary for months in NY ready to go, but we couldn't organize ourselves. Luckily, Gerry is helping us now, so there is no reason now for more delays...

Do you suggest a shorter testing time?
 
Paul - the guy who was originally organizing the tour just fell off the radar. I have no idea what happened. He lives(ed) somewhere near the NYC showroom and only had to go pick it up and he never did. It aggravated me as well. I decided to step up and offer to organize it.

I'm just a regular guy who finally had some spare time to help this effort - no affiliation with Warwick.

The timespan is fine. Thank you and Gastrok for clearing this up! I simply needed to know what the hold up was and if this was really going to happen this time. You both have reaffirmed it, it's happening.. let's proceed as planned. Once again, thank you both. Sorry for being so grumpy I don't sleep much.
 
I just put together an estimated schedule for the entire U.S. tour so we all can have realistic expectations.



I made 2 assumptions to build this plan: 10 business days to play with it, and 4 business days to ship. I will update this with actual dates & durations as we go along so you all know approximately when you'll get your turn.

Yup, it goes in to February of 2012...and we'll have hiccups along the way and I'm sure it will stretch out quite a bit more. Don't get depressed though, Warwick is letting us try out a $3000 piece of gear for just the cost of shipping and it's worth the wait!!
 
Just a quick update - the Hellborg pre is now leaving Nova Scotia and headed to Nashville for it's 4th stop on the US tour!
