have the thumb BO bodies changed?

i just noticed while looking at side by side pics of my thumb BOs. One is an thumb bo 5 from 1997 and the other is a dirty blond 2006. they hang and feel a little different due to the different woods and strap lock location and flush mount versus surface mount but they look different. also notice the bolt arrangement on the neck joint. Actually my cat noticed it
 
They have indeed changed slightly over the years.The most obvious change is the neck bolts,the lower & upper horns & thickness of the bodies.
 
Those two thumbs maybe got different neck profile? Therefore different bolting?
 
Warwick improve things as they go, so things are bound to change. They find a better way to build this mouse trap, they build it the new way.
 
the bubinga one looks a lot more like one of the NTs, though the difference would be obvious if you put a NT next to it. I like the bubinga one more :) lovely basses though

Does the strap button offset on the '97 help with neck dive? I have been thinking about moving mine, but only if it really makes a difference.
 
I have a 97 thumb and I like the offset strap button.At least for me It helps balance the bass.I like the recessed strap locks because i can have one centered and one offest and it doesn't look like the bass is growing warts.
 
I have a '04 Streamer Broadneck 5, and the original strap button was dead centre, so I moved it to where the older Streamers had theirs, level with the top horn strap button. Made a big difference, even though the bass initially balanced ok (sort of horizontal), but now the neck sits up just nicely!
