Got my $$ + waxing question

Well today I went and picked up my first Warwick bass, a brand new Corvette $$ 4 String in natural oil finish. Beautiful. Initially found the electronics and variety in tones daunting but soon enough found "that" tone.

I obviously want to maintain my new Vette well, so I'll have to be waxing it. How much of the surface finisher should I be using? And is it ok to use it on the neck? Answers appreciated greatly
 
you dont need too much, just rub your cloth on the surface of the wax, then rub your bass in a circular motion, and if you need more wax then repeat, its ok to use on the neck, i have the same bass (only in black) and the wax brings out the sexyness in the neck. I hope this helps

I put the wax with my hands, and rub it until is warming a little. Sometimes it is better to do it in the night, and polish it in the morning.
 
It's just like waxing a car mate, the more you put on, the more you'll just have to take off. Each time. Frequency seems to be the key here. When I got my Dolphin it had a lot of very dry patches. I started waxing the Dolphin every day I was off, work. Light coats, let it sit a few minutes, as directed on the can of wax, then buffed it off. Within a week it was looking a ton better. Now the wood grain is exploding. I wax the Dolphin prolly 3 or 4 times a week. :D

I really like Meguiars applicator pads for waxing - They give ya 2 for around 3-4 bucks - Your wax seems to last longer and is spread nice and even with these pads - Then to wipe off I use a microfiber non scratch rag

If you can play it you can live with it. I learned using a Kay. Still have it.
