Getting a Thumb NT 5 tonight!

The sound clip wouldn't play on my Mac for some reason. Bass looks great though matey. I'm getting more and more in the mood for a Thumb. No pun intended.

I should have slept last night. I'm trying everything I can to open the clip for 20min. Then I realized that I have both basses:x Still wanted to hear my man play though.

Though it does look a little like that, and it would be pretty cool, I don't think it's truly the case here. I have a big slab of purpleheart sitting in my front hall and its VERY purple. The purplish hue that shows in the neck of my bass is just a glimmer, and only in certain lighting conditions.

I think Bunbinga that looks purple are way cooler than purpleheart ... ar ... that looks purple ... :P

LMAO, good one.

Hey, Gerry. You're gonna have to update your signature-avatar... Although "Gastrok" is gonna be font size 72 to list all those killer basses... ;)

Gerry your sound clips broke my PC!! Is your playing really that good? ;)

Mr. Gastrok, how did you get that nickname anyway? Does it have something to do with a medical term?

... I agree with you, never rely on soundclips when buying a bass.

Still, from an A/B you will hear the DIFFERENCE between the two of them. And this helps a lot if you know/ own one of them.
It also let you have a pretty good Idea of the bass's character, voice, especially when you hear more clips with the same bass, different players...

+1 I agree with all this...

The solution for this problem... OWN BOTH!!!!:twisted::twisted::lol::lol:

I did and loved them!! 8:

Yep - Gastrocnemius. I have (or actually use to when i was an avid runner) very large calf muscles, and my right one is quite a freak with lots of crazy veins all over the place;)

+1...and play before you buy, or my case, buy it anywayz! The SSII I bought from you was on faith! but no risk and no trust = nothing gained:d

hey Jeff, you're right,;) I got some work to do! thanks for reminding me.

nice soundclip.

i find A/Bs very helpful !

the bass also looks very nice. that bubinga grain is very swirly and it's beautiful.

if you have the time, could you also do an A/B with the SSII with some slapping ?

I don't know if it's the old strings or something to do with my sketchy technique, but I can't get a good slap tone out of the Thumb.

Amazing bass, amazing signature. Congratz. B)

It sucks man, my family is made of people....

...why isn't it made of nice basses like that!? :)

Good A/B and nice basses!
