Hi all. New here and off to a sad start! Must let go of my SSII. :-(

This is a 'modern' 2004 model SSII. Afzelia body, Ovankol in the neck, wenge fb, Mec 3band eq and original Mec pickups, drop D tuner on the E.

I have replaced the horrible crappy plastic nut with an 'adjustanut 3' in brass. While I was on the warwick web shop site I thought I'd buy a standard E tuner as well. The E tuner is brand new and unmounted.

I like my strings well worn in / pretty dead. The strings on it at the moment are round wounds with plenty of tone in them but not 'zingy'. I will include a set of Thomostik flatwounds as well in the sale.

Sale also includes two warwick cleaning cloths, two tins of wax and a nice warwick soft bag.

Condition of the bass is almost mint. I can only find a small nail ding in the thumb rest position on the neck pickup. Overall a VERY well looked after bass.

I have owned and played many Warwick bases in the last 10yrs and this truly is the best warwick has to offer. Even played unplugged, each note can be felt in your body!

The body of the bass is super comfortable and the neck is very fast. It's a joy to play and tonal variety it as good as it gets. (The more I describe it the less I want to sell it!).

This bass will get an inspection and set up for its new owner by my local guitar shop so you can be assured it is a tip top bass.

£1550 the asking price. No trades

Collection from Ashton, Bristol, UK preferred. I will post but shipping will be at your cost and has to be tracked and insured. I will pack it extremely well of course.

Pics to come...

Please excuse the lack of overall polishing! Not had heaps of time to spruce her up recently but you get an overall feel of the condition;

Maybe I need a few more posts to do direct image links. He is a link to a few images. I'll add further shots to my photobucket if requested. ;)

woah sweet jesus - is it normal to crap your pants when looking at a bass..?

Trouser accidents are perfectly normal when viewing a bass of this caliber ;)

The real problems come when plugging in and turning it up! The effects are guaranteed to be devistating.

This baby is still waiting for a new loving owner. . .

Hey, great looking bass! I have a question though, has the strap lock on the back been moved?

welcome to the forum, tbreak :-)
Yes, it looks like it was moved!

Hi Guys,

The bass is getting a pro setup right now so I can't inspect the straplock. I never even considered it had been moved!

When I get the bass back I will investigate and post up some more pics.

The bass is back with a fresh low-action setup! As far as the straplock at the bridge-end it is stock. No sign of a repair or fill in. Maybe the relocation was requested by the original customer when ordered??

Loads more pics added to my photobucket. Link again below. . .

Hi all,

This bass is still up for sale. £1550 firm. I'm not dropping the price any lower than this so don't wait around and miss out!

Bump for one of the sexiest basses on the interweb.

Happy holidays to all. This lovely SSII is still up for sale at £1550 OVNO.
