Hi I'm new here, didn't know this place existed 'til I saw a link from another site.
I have for sale a 1987 S No. J10087, Thumb 5 NT, bubinga and wenge, 7 neck lams, EMG PUPS and carved headstock. In good condition, well played, a few tiny dings. (on an album with Ike Willis, of Frank Zappa)
I will send pictures to anyone that is interested.
I don't need to tell you, it's a seriously good instrument!
The bass can be heard on tracks 2 and 3 on the player on the MySpace link in my sig.
Jake
I would consider trades for an equivalent value fretless.

Hello Jake, welcome to the forum! 5 stringers from that time are pretty rare, I know I would buy it. Please PM with the price :-)

You had to PM me.... Why did you do that, I just wanted to bump your topic!!!

Now how will I explain this to my wife?
:D

explaining to do

Start thinking mister, it'll take some explaining.
If she loves you she will love your new love :D

Thank you Jake, I promiss you this baby will be well treated!

Yes :-)

Congratulations Florin!
That bass is my dream/obsession - as jakesbass knows  - and one day it will become true.
Now I'm waiting for samples. :)

yo florin congrats! can i call you brother? this bass sure makes you happy and wow what a grain :D

well done Florin! i'm sure you'll be very happy with this new instrument!

These bass are worth around 5000,- Euro these days...

Dude! It has a one piece bridge! How could you? No decent bass has a one piece bridge, I thought you knew that. Only crap basses have a one piece bridge.

At least that's what I've been told here.

Trying to think of how to refit my Ric, MM, Epi, all of which are great as they are, WITH THEIR ONE PIECE BRIDGES! :P

i dont think 1 peice bridges sound any different to a 2 peice mate, its just the 2 peice looks more elegant and easier to clean, so iv heard.

Welcome back to the Thumb club Flo. :D That's some friggin' wicked Bubinga on that Thumb.
