Generally around 1990, I've just sold a 90 and it had them.

However, I've seen 89 basses without them and I've seen 91 basses with and without them, so I think it may have been an option available if a shop/store was ordering them around that time or that they were phased out very gradually. They would always have been an option if the customer was ordering something specific direct from Warwick.

However the year in which Warwick stopped using them as a default option was 1991.
Since 1991 they became a custom option
