I'm fairly new to this forum and a couple of you have mentioned I should post some pics so here I go. These are some shots that turned out quite nice of a show that I played in Calgary Alberta Canada about a year ago (Calgary is my home). Now you'll notice that, yes, there is an accordion (I know what some of you are thinking), I play in a bit of an odd band, Celtic/Zydeco/Rock, people say we sound a bit like a cross between Barenaked Ladies/Great Big Sea and Buckwheat Zydeco, and I would probably agree, it's a little different but we play quite a bit and we have a ton of fun. It's a pleasure to play high energy, happy music that people dig. I couldn't resist including the blurred out rock star pic (with an accordion lol). The bass I'm playing is a 98 Fortress One fretless in Ocean Blue which I have upgraded to MEC active JJ Pups. It's pretty much been my main bass since about 2000 up until this past fall when I added the Thumb 5 Fretless BO (In my opinion the Thumb bass is probably the best sounding fretless on the planet, I'm sure some of you may disagree and that's cool by me) .
That's it for now
Cheers All

I was like...................what the f are you talking about ?? I looked up the word "blouse".....................and oh my third thumb..................heheheh. Hey, I don't know and spend much cash on clothes; the cash for my basses has to come from somewhere right ?? Man, I'm learning something here................Since when is it called a shirt ?? Shirt...................T-shirt..................same to me until today.
Ah well................bumtacular I guess.

(P.S. I think I would look cool wearing a blouse and a pink skirt.............as long as I have my Warwick Thumb to accompany me. )

I'm sure you'd look just ravishing in your little pink mini number mate but I dont go for those backdoor shenanigans. :P

LOL! Hey everyone, thnx for all the fun and interesting feedback. :) Well it's not really that often that we get all dressed up to play but every now and then we'll play some function that it's required and actually the band has a bit of a wardrobe budget so I don't spend very much cash on stage clothes. Honestly I hate getting all dressed up in a suit and tie to play, too restrictive and way too hot under the lights. You can hear a few snipets of music @ www.thekimberlites.com (I know, sounds like a pansy name but it's been with us so long, it's hard to drop, the lead singer is actually a geologist so you can look that all up on the web for the deep dark meaning if your inclined) We're just putting together a promo video so I'll post that on our web site as soon as it's all done. Not all of our events are posted because we play a lot of private stuff and I personally play in other projects as well outside of the band. I'm working on my own web site slowly which will be much more bass oriented; I hope to have that up some time this year. I don't think I have any new pics of my Thumb Fretless but I'm sure they'll turn up soon.
Anyway, cheers all
