Flats on Thumb BO 4?

Thumb BO's are one of the only basses that I'd think flats would be awesome. I think that flats eat a lot of definition and articulation, but the thumb is articulate enough to counterbalance and tight enough to not become a mud machine. As for the pick, I don't know...
 
You'd probably be getting some crazy deep growl from pick + flats and get a woody tone if you boost the treble,
