Well guys,the 25th marks one year since Mark's passing.
For those that joined later,Mark's user name was Maddrakkett.This section of the forum was called the Warwick cafe,but was later re-named to Maddrakkett's Cafe,as a tribute to an active member that was very much well liked by all who met him.One day,he felt a bit off,while he was at work.His boss called his wife & she took him to the hospital,to get him checked out.It turned out that he had a problem with his heart & needed to have a pacemaker installed.The surgery went well,but they found out he needed a bone marrow transplant,as a result of cancer that he wasnt aware of.His prognosis was pretty good,& this was seen as another challenge that he was more than capable of overcoming.His sister turned out to be the perfect donor & the transplant was followed by some chemotherapy.He improved & went home,but things took a turn for the worse & Mark ended up back in hospital.He had a deep belief in christianity & was very active in his church as a youth leader,so he had alot of spiritual support,& alot of family support.Sadly,Mark lost his battle at about 11.25 am on the 25th of October 2008.
We later found out that Mark had a large group of friends both on & offline,& was an active member of several forums & was very popular amongst all of them.Mark played guitar for over 20 years,& switched to bass several years before his death.He accumulated a fantastic collection of Warwick basses,seven in all,& also had some amazing amplification & was more than capable when it came to modding his analogue effect pedals.He played at his church every week as well.
If anyone else has any memories or Mark,or would just like to post their thoughts,feel free to do so.
We love ya Mark,& we miss ya mate.You were more than a fellow member.You were a true friend,& contributed greatly,making this forum a better place than it would've been without you.
