Ex Entwistle streamer

Hi guys

I am the proud owner of an ex John Entwistle 93 streamer stage1 custom quilted birds eye maple finished in nirvana black stain, The problem i have is that the side dot inlays are barely visible under the stain which seems to have been applied over some of the inlays.
Any tips as to improving their visiblity whilst not damaging this gorgeous bass? :?

It seems to be a gorgeus bass From what I've seen, when the dots were not visible, they were... LEDs. Are you sure you don't have side LEDs?

Yes i'm certain the bass has no LED's. I've had the bass since my wife bought it at the Sothebys auction in 03 for me. The dots themselves are abalone or mother of pearl (s/n E-004469-93). It's a great sounding bass with those twin P p/ups, i'd just like to use it more often but it's proving difficult on some of the dark stages i play. I'm reluctant to fit LED's as i'm concerned it would detract from the authenticity of the guitar.

It's reversible, and not that expensive... Give'em a try !

No i'd rather not, besides it may affect any resale value, not being original, if i ever chose to sell it. Best to keep it as is.
I already have LED's on my Thumb V & Alembic. What i may consider is a company i found on the Alembic forum site www.fretfx.com who supply LED strips to retro-fit, for $80.00 they're worth a try.... :?:

I've got the FretFx system fitted to 2 of my basses, and i'm very impressed with them. I've also removed them from one bass, and it left to trace that they were ever there.

Thats in his book of his collection isnt it? Cause if its the one im thinking of shes stunning!

That's the kiddie!
The tone circuit is very expansive, more so than other Streamers i've played, There just seems to be more of 'everything' when maxing all the tone controls.
And NO i don't intend selling it,not for a long time!
