I've spent some quality time with a $$ Ash Vette recently, 5S, and I can tell a big difference in the switches from then they're running as single coils, but the other ones ( series / parallel ) I really couldn't pick out the change. I was running it at mid-low volume through an Ampeg 4x10 at Guitar Center so the situation wasn't ideal for feeling out sounds but I just couldn't figure out what was changing between those positions.

What's the difference in the series / parallel humbucking positions?

Series is more middy and bright,
parallel is louder and deeper.

Try listening with the EQ bypass
[pull knob out] and I'm sure it
will sound exactly as described.

Also listen at the "3 corners" of
the PU fader [center & 2 ends].
