Double Thumb Method

I need some help or hints on working the double thumb. it's literally my only weakness on the bass and i just want to be able to play something like Wooten or Miller. (yes, i know thats asking for alot haha)

I first learned it from Abraham Laboriel. Do some youtube searches, you will find a lot of videos with the technique. Nothig much or difficult, just a little bit practice.

Start on studying some lines witht he thumb, use it like you are playing with a pic. Then add other moves

i learned double thump from a youtube victor wooten video...

i modified it in the sense that i use the neck as a ramp as so my thumb wouldnt sink in so much

IncX, what is your string height? I have seen other guys using the fretboard as a ramp, but whenever I try to do it I find that my strings are too low to pluck them from below with my thumb over the fretboard. And I don't have a particularly massive thumb. I am currently doing it over the neck pickup, but I feel that the string is probably a bit too tight there, cause it is closer to the bridge compared to the space around the 24th fret and I would really like to have a bit more "slack" in the string when I do double thumb.

I am seriously considering adding a Norm Stockton - style ramp to my $$.
