Date of manufacture

Is there any way of checking the history of my Fortress as I ordered it in 1998 but have recently noticed the date on the headstock is 1997 and as it was special order I would expect it to be dated 1998.

Probably your Fortress was already built in the factory. Sometimes it happens.
