I spend a lot of time wondering how future generations will judges us all in retrospect, and I somehow doubt they'll ever forgove us the destruction of of old growth forests, irresponsible use of oil reserves and massive air and water pollution.

It honestly warms my heart that warwick use farmed woods and solar power...not sure how much this matters to everyone else though?

If we're lucky we will be judged. If we're not lucky..................well.............maybe there's no one left to judge us. :shock:
 
I'm gonna stray off topic a little here, and suggest some more realy possibnilities for CS options...

How about Stereo outputs? Or maybe a balanced (XLR) output like some albemics or wal basses have? From what I hear, this really improves the DI quality on the bass....

Hi and thanks for your suggestion.
Stereo output is possible in the Custom Shop! We have the pieces to realize it and only your imagination fix the limits... I remember having worked together with Mr Hansal from the MEC company on a Double neck Framus with 3 ouput jacks!!!
Now a few words about the XLR (or combo XLR/jack 6.35´)as output pin. I already thought about this a few month ago, and after trying we took the decision not to offer this, because it would be a problem with majorities of Warwick bodies shapes... And if we offer it for one shape, you as customer will expect that we also do it for the others!!! So this is not available.
 
Going back to the hand picking of woods...

Maybe upon request, warwick could email images to the customer of the different available chunks of wood for a small upcharge?

I realise that it would be going to a lot of trouble and there is more work involved, but everyone's biggest fear is finally recieving your custom bass that you saved for and finding that beautful bubinga pommele actually looks like regular Bubinga, albeit with one of two lines of grain and no depth. You do pay £550 more for Bubinga pommele as a custom option, so you would obviously want your money's worth and a beautiful bass to last you a lifetime... right? I can guarantee that people would prefer to do this, and emailing would work perfectly for people outside Germany who cannot travel to the factory

This is an interesting idea, because I know that some small instruments maker use to do by this way. The problem is the following: we have to find a convenient way for both of you and us, large bass maker facility, to be payed without problems... Understand that such a wish cannot be done for free!!
 
I guess it has to do with the specific lumber that Warwick uses...

Well you are also right... It´s very important for us that some people are sensible about this!
 
Wow I didn't know Warwick used farmed wood and solar power. Thats awesome! I have always thought that with the decreasing forests sizes, and with all the exotic woods that Warwick uses, that eventually we would be limited to the types of woods we could choose from choose from. I'm actually relieved to hear this.

I want to know what his band sounds like. I cant understand what style they would be.
 
Just a suggestion I would like to make: wooden pickup covers.

It's already featured on the 2008 ltd. so could this also be possible for CS basses? I'm thinking about a matt black Thumb NT 4 with birdseye maple fingerboard and pickup covers!
 
I know it's been covered in another thread, but an Infinity-Thumb NT crossbreed would easily be worth selling kidneys for...

..ultimately, I think this is what we'd all like to see from the Warwick CS in the near future? :P

I don't think it will work, because a lighter thumb body will create serious neckdive...

I have always thought the streamer body was a little long (I'm a thumb guy). Can I order one with a more stocky looking body like the picture below?

That looks pretty nice mate,but the CS wont alter any basic shapes,sorry.

Thanks for this new question! Unfortunatley Greg is right, even if the Warwick Custom Shop offers a lot of options, you cannot modify a shape from a standard Warwick model.

With respect to the InfiniThumb, all the ideas so far have been a Thumb modified to be like an Infinity... Why not try the other way round, and modify a Infinity to be more like a Thumb (eg, similar proportions, if not exactly size, the arched profile, etc)?

As much as I like F holes,having them on a solid body bass would require a complete re-designing of the bass,into a semi/hollow body.
