Hi, I didn't sell my Thumb 6 BO last week, it were both good news & bad news, I really need some money to solve my personal problem, but I will regret to sell any Warwick bass no doubt.

I sold my Fender Jazz bass, Spector CR4, Tobias Basic 4, Trace Combo...but no Warwick!!

The reason I wanna sell my Thumb 6 is I find that I still not Les Claypoor even I bought a 6 strings bass, the 6 strings is to much for me, I start to go back to 4 strings (slapping machine), I love my Wide board SSI 5, I am thinking if I can modify my Thumb 6 to Thumb 5 wide board.....

Maybe it is 99% impossible but I would like to know how will you guy do it!!

That's a pretty crazy mod... I'm known for my crazy mods... But this is something I wouldn't advise. I have in past converted a 5 string bass to a broadneck 4 string... But to a Warwick... I highly suggest you don't do it. If you wan't a broadneck 5, save up and get it. Don't ruin your Warwick.

This is an interesting question. Well, we have to find the exact size of the bridge and if they fit you can easily swap them. You need to custom nut, not very hard to build...

If they don't have the same size, you still can do it, with some modifications to the body, can be fun :-) So... why not? I think I've seen that before. But a better idea seems to me to sell your bass and buy one with 5 strings...

Hi Florin,

I like your attitude, the most problem is the bridge, or I just need a custom nut and custom neck, but it should be easier to but a new one.

The Warwick agent in Taiwan doesn't import 6 strings bass due the the rare market, the bass is also hard to sell......or I really like to buy a Buzzard or Dolphin...
