Corvette Proline - looking for info

Hi,

Yesterday I managed to snag a gorgeous looking Corvette Proline 5-string in Ocean Blue on Ebay. I'll be picking it up on Saturday. I was doing a little research on this model today (which is how I found this forum) and noticed some differences between the current model and mine.

The one I am buying is a 1995 model and obviously has the brass nut and sunken strap locks, but what was most unusual is the seven ply flame maple/nut wood neck. Does anyone know whether this was a standard fit or option at the time or may it have been a custom shop order (if they even existed then)?

Either way it looks glorious and will hopefully sound and feel the same way once I get it into my hands.

I've had one like that too, from 1995. Maybe it's mine :-) Show us pics :-)
 
Will do. The seller claims he's owned her since new, sounds a straight up guy. Either way, I'm officially "chuffed" to be getting this one.

We are "chuffed" to see some pictures. :D I've never seen a Proline with a Maple neck before...................Never heard of it either: I thought it was a custom bass................. :roll:
