Corvette FNA Price???

Hey guys. I've happened to come across a Corvette FNA bass (single M pickup) here in town and was just wondering how much one might cost. It's used and in decent condition i suppose (needs some cleaning, new strings, etc. but nothing seemed wrong with it) with a red finish. It's listed at the store for $1300 but I really wouldn't want to get ripped off if I decide to look further into purchasing it...And it's really hard to find information on them. Thanks for your help guys!
 
I have no idea what they went for originally, but that's about DOUBLE what they go for used on eBay...
 
yeah...$1300 is a bit much. Is it a 5 string at least? It would have to be new to cost that much.
 
I just returned from a instrumentdealer with a beautiful "bright new" 2001 FNA 5. It's been stashed away in corner of the shop for years and it has never been out of the shop before. I payed about $1200. Including a premium Warwick gigbag, trussrod tool, umbraco keys, a pack of wax and even a new set of Warwick Black Label strings. But i guess the prices' are lower here in Europa. I had my eyes on a used 4 string, it was about $975, but i'm really not into 4 strings no more, so lucky me, this 5 string came up.

Okay, thanks a lot guys. I figured it was a high price but just wanted to make sure before i try to talk them down.

And no, its just a 4 string, doesnt bother me though since thats what i use in our band...still trying to find the right string gauge so i can tune my 5 to Drop-C...
