very cool, looks like it might be ovangkol, though i'm not too sure.
 
judging by the color, i would say walnut. but it has burl, so maybe burl walnut ??
 
Says Bubinga looks like Bubinga to me. I would buy the thing if it had a wenge board on it. I dont like the way the maple looks.
 
yep its bubinga 99.9% sure, i dont really like maple boards at all, but this one looks great dont ya think?
 
im positive its bubinga now, it says so in the item discription.

Don't think so. It's "regular" Bubinga Pommelè, I'd say.
Bubinga can be very redish, but also very dark brown. Also the color darkens by time - I've seen other bubinga-tops pretty similar in color to this one. And also my bubinga bass is becoming darker and darker. It's almost double as dark as when it was new in middle 2007. Depends on how often it's waxed and exposed to direct sunlight (which might have a contrary, bleeching effect i suppose.)

Btw: I would buy it IMMEDIATELY if I was in the us. Come on guys, go and get it. It's MONSTER!

I meant that he may have altered the ad a bit. :d

However, it's a possibility that someone has tampered
with the finish on this bass, just like it's a possibility
that any of us have with ours! I mean, I took the finish
off of my Pro Line not too long ago... And will do so again
before I sell her. (I want to get every last imperfection
out of the grain before passing her along.)

But man - honestly. If I'd see anybody messing around with such a bubinga top - I would beat him up seriously. It's soooooo beautiful. Please someone buy it and make mor pictures. For me! Please :lol:

I'd love to give this one a whirl with that maple board.
