Firstly, aussie band Cog, Luke Gower their bassist uses a variety of Thumb basses...very cool bass tone!

and a band they are touring with atm, The Apex Theory from the USA...this band doesn't use Warwicks, but I reckon they have a pretty cool sound happening!!

Have a listen and let me know what ya think!!

both bands have a great bass sound especially the apex theory:D. actually the apex theory (i swear ive heard of them before) remind me of muse for some reason :?

thanks for the tip - i'm currently listening to Cog - i really like them, interesting music, cool drummer :)

the phillipino band cog is good to... i just went to myspace.com/cog and found them. no warwick bass, though.

yeh the philipino band is not the one I mean...click the link I gave to hear the Aussie version...

And yeh, the drummer is insane!! Very cool tribal grooves. Very aussie sounding band too.

the topic is cool bands to check out, thought it was fitting! :o

Check out this band:

In my opinion, they have a PERFECT sound for these days.
On the other hand, I'm wondering how they reproduce live what can be heard on their CD...

Not Warwick, but still pretty damn well played:

another cool sound. Great songwriting there. A little poppy lyrics, but oh well.

you guys should check out Boy Hits Car. One of my alltime favorite bands out there. Sure, the bass player plays a EBMM Sterling bass, but who cares? They rock.

My recent favourites: Minus the Bear, At the Drive-In, Hem, The Tossers, Rusted Root, St. Germain, Antibalas Afrobeat Orchestra and the Dave Brubeck Quartet.

Going to see Antibalas on halloween in manhattan...

completely digging november newest release, think the bassist use warwick
