I had this idea kicking around in
my head before I left for vacation,
and just didn't get it posted before
I left for the airport.
How about we institute a Warwick
Clip Contest?
Obviously, this would be located in
the recordings section. This is how
I was thinking it would go....
We pick a song. Forumers can then,
work on their rendition of that particular
bass line for one week (or shorter)
and post the end result in the thread.
We pick a panel of judges (three would
suffice) and they will determine who
wins. (Or, we could even turn it into
a poll, allowing everyone to vote. This
would of course, play on the honor system,
as you wouldn't be able to vote for
yourself.)
The winner, will gain bragging rights,
and then have the opportunity to pick
the next song.
Now, this wouldn't be a "Who can match
the bass line the best" but rather, who
gives it their own touch. So, we'd be
grading/voting based on creativeness.
This all hit me when I was screwing around
with "Dig" and thought I had a pretty
groovy thing going for me.
So, what do you guys think!?!?!
