"Brandino" in new GK ad

Yes, Paul Turner is credited on the two new High Times tracks "Runaway" and "Radio."
 
Yeah Paul is the shet! Since Zender I think that only Mr. Turner has made me excited about those bass lines again.

Well, here's what the last paragraphs of the Jamiroquai biography have to say, from the official website:

'High Times - Singles 1992-2006' is very much volume one of the greatest hits, Jay Kay's not ready to retire just yet.

"I like the sense of closure it has about it," says Kay. "I've closed that chapter of my career and I'm ready to start the next. We've already got tracks lined-up that are very different. Very exciting. So it makes sense to do the greatest hits now. It feels like the right time, in readiness for the next phase."

That Kay's already planning the next phase of the Jamiroquai saga is indeed, good news...

They are currently touring as well, so it would seem that a new album will be in the near future, and hopefully Paul Turner is still involved (no reason why he shouldn't be).

In fact, Wikipedia reports that Jay kay signed an 8 album deal, so there's at least one more albums to come...

Now, if only Paul would switch to Warwick basses... But I have to admit, he gets a great old school tone that fits the music well, and he is the first bassist since Zender to bring the inspiration on two really good tracks that deliver the groove and vibe that defines Jamiroquai at the top of their game!
 
I'm fortunate enough to know Paul on a personal level; he's a fantastic guy and an amazing player. A true professional on and off the stage, and someone I really aspire to.

He is 100% with Jamiroquai, and they have been busy at work on some new material. I'm excited as hell about hearing it, and about seeing them perform again!

So did we ever figure out what this bass is? I tried to find a gear list online but had very little luck with that idea.

Still no info on it. He has a "Deep Six" Warwick, but it's a Streamer...

Yeah, i have seen the "Deep 6 Bass" video. quite entertaining. why DEEP 6? i ma guesing that the bass is tuned lower than B?
 
I guess I'm going to have to email Brandino myself & ask him what this bass is.Unless someone else wants to do it.Maybe a myspace message will do the trick.

WEll i sent a message off to him yesterday. Now its time for....The Waiting Game!!!
 
Well i just got a response from Brandino through MySpace. I explained that we were curious about the non-warwick bass he was modeling in the add. here is his response:

"My Warwick was in repair when this add was shot.I've been
a Warwick endorsee for many years and regret this was the
picture that was chosen out of many that were shot that day.

Thanks,
Brandino !"

still no idea what kind of bass it is but we now know why the Deep 6 or his Black Beauty fretless was no where to be seen.

If Paul played a guitar instead of a bass, everyone would be like "Dude, that guy plays a guitar. that is freaking hysterical"
