Black hardware for the Rockbass Corvette Classic 4

Is it possible to get black hardware on the RockVette Classic 4?

Not as is, no, but you can easily get your hands on black hardware and replace it yourself...

Of the Rockbass line, only the Fortress comes with black hardware (and the streamer LX...)
 
I figured...

Do you know where I can get the hardware? I did not see a link on the Rockbass website....

also, what does GAS stand for? I'm new here... :)

Just go to the Warwick website: I think they even have the one piece bridge.
 
I didn't see anything at Warwicks site either....maybe I'll check DanaBgoods..

Just go the the webshop ==> Warwick parts ==> bridges ==> page 3

The knobs and stuff used on Rockbasses are the same as on a Warwick.

But after searching for Warwick online I found this site:



Which I can now see is the one you meant for me to look at in the first place.

In case anyone is interested:

Replacing all the the CHROME hardware on a Rockbass Corvette Classic with BLACK hardware will cost about

115.70 Euros = 169.55 US Dollars

Maybe I'll just be happy with chrome.... :)

You could always do it bit by bit: start with the tuners, then the bridge, then the knobs, and in a short while you'll have all your black hardware, and it should be relatively painless...
 
I bought a blue Corvette STD RB with the thought of making a Buzzard body for it, but decided to leave as is since the Vette is in such great shape and plays so well and sounds great. Anyhoo I got the Vette for $260 US off Ebay, as new condition, went through the parts, ended up having to price a Warmouth neck (couldn't find the price of a Warwick or RB one) and it came to close to $900 US. If I was going to do the RB Buzzard I'd still start with a used RB Vette STD, maybe one not as nice as this one.

Anyway point is that it costs a bomb to build anything out of parts.
 
Yeah it is pricey. Thanks for all the input though, it helps. I probably will go bit by bit. To be honest though, I am getting the VetteClassic for the feel and sound more than for the looks (which are pretty sweet anyway). I just LOVE black hardware and HATE chrome. Its a taste thing.... :wink:

I'm with you totally - love the black hardware vs. the chrome!
 
i like the golden one and I was going to swap my hardware on my Fortress One from chrome to gold and the lowest prie for all the bridge and all the hardware was $320 USD so i just stuck to my chrome for now and instead of buying the hardware (has happened twice while I am saving for it) I rather go and save a little more for anothjer Warwick (classical case of bad GAS).

anyways the last edition to my Wics' family was a Vette $$ and I got with my dealer and I paid extra (les than $100) to get the gold hardware from Dana B Godds straight and this saved me a lot of money and you can see the results in my avatar.

I saved a lot of money by doing this and also I got it set up by Tyler at Dana B himself.

The only thing I missed on this was that i had switched to Geico and saved a lot of money in car insurance but that's not the case.

try ebay for hardware stuff I got 4 golden knobs from there and also some elecs and pick ups. you'd never know what you might find there, just check the feedback before going to buy anything.

One day I hope to own a Corvette $$ in Nirvana black with black hardware...major GAS.

Till then I'll be happy with my Rockbass, which I'll be getting as soon as I get paid next. Its the waiting that gets me. :D
 
A forum member,Anarchyok,has a complete set of black hardware for sale.
Is that right Jono?The whole dice or is just the 5 black tuners?
 
yes I think there is an ad on the for sale section under others that offers black hardware. now the bridge might be a regular WIc one but hey..this might be even better you U!!
