Is it possible to have black fret markers? They would look awesome on a flame maple fretboard. If not , WHY NOT?

man i'm with you on this one

i also asked for the availability of black inlays but apparently it's not possible right now

We have black fret markers on all maple necks with maple fingerboard. Example of this is the Bleached Blonde LTD 2003.

So is it possible then to have say black crucifix markers on the front of neck?

from what i've seen, inlays are only available in abalone/mother of pearl style.

but it'd be cool if they could be made in all sorts of colors. perhaps with some sort of acrylic or something.

So far only mother of pearl and abalone inlays.

Ok, What about the total opposite... Is it possible to get a CS without any fret markers? Because I'd like the idea of a totally blank neck.

of course... I think there was a Streamer Stage 2 CS bass on the gallery... the ONLY thing custom about it was that it didn't have ying yang inlays!

I would say so...

I don't think it would be wise to get rid of the side dots! :)

You crazy guy... A 7 string bass without any kind of inlays is pure suicide, when you're playing live in the dark...

Because he won't know what notes he's playing?

Jokes Casey :)

I usually dont have a problem with my place on the neck... Very rarely do I ever keep an eye on the fret markers... I usually just stare down do to the fact that I dont feel like looking out into the crowd :P

My goal is to make an INSANE bass :P - The only thing that could make it crazier would be to make it a fretless... But I think I'll stick with fretted :P

There's "insane", then there's "stupid" (Lex  ). Be SURE of what you would do man, there's no turning back.

LOL

I wanted to at first do white fret markers on my white fingerboard... so yuo only saw them when the LEDs were on.

thank god I thought twice about it

So getting this back on track , is it possible to have a flame maple fretboard with black crucifix's on it? I mean , how hard can this be??

They will only do mother of pearl or abalone inlays... It would be nice if they would do other colors... But sadly at this point they wont.
