Bigsby on a bass!?

does anyone know how i would go about putting a bigsby on a bass? i think it would look badass on the katana! and its cheaper...

ahaha, thats true too... i just want to do it because its cheaper than a kahler, and i think it looks cooler. it would take some modding, but nothing extreme...

can anyone say locking tuners? i'm hoping a when that bass player contest or some large sum of money so i can just order the katana. if i won, would anyone be interested in a jack bruce fretless thumb? :lol:

The main problem I see with the idea is that a bigsby requires quite a bit of space on the body below the bridge (and longer strings to go with it....) The only two warwicks that have that kind of space (even not sure if it's enough...) are the stryker and the hellborg signature...

I've seen a gretch bass with a bigsby, but that's all. Would propably look cool but guess that's all...I could be wrong though

+1, a vintage looking bridge might look good on a vintage looking guit like a Gretsch. I think it would look aweful on a modern looking bass like a Katana.

Personally I don't like tremolo bridges at all, on anything. I'm too much of a tuning freak. Locking one end or the other or both, don't care, I've never heard any whammy that holds tuning to my satisfaction. Get an expression pedal instead.
