Bassplayer's nightmare

Thanks for all the nice replies. I don't feel alone in my semi-misery any more.
As a small update: Physio twice a week has been helping me a great deal so far! Although the sessions are sometimes very painful (last Friday I was actually screaming in agony :() in today's session I managed to lift my arm up to about 120 degrees! Yes we're making progress.

I also do training exercises twice a day in three sets of 10 both raising the arm up and moving it outward. The latter is very hard and hurts like hell but hey its all for a good cause.
Yes I can play my bass but only for a short while (10 mins max). Moving the arm into slapping position is still a big no-no atm though...

BUT.... We're slowly gettin' there!

All of this has a positive side too. It is a learning experience for me above all and quite an eye opener. Not being able to rely 100 percent on your body can do your head in if you never gave this any thought before.

Cheers, Marco

Great news Marco, just being able to do something about a problem is a big thing. :)

Read about deer antler velvet. Chinese medicine that cures stuff luke this. Just an option.

Speaking of alternative medicine, I would invite all members to sign the following petition:

Avaaz - EU: 3 DAYS TO SAVE HERBAL MEDICINE!

The EU Traditional Herbal Medicinal Products Directive (THMPD) is a pretty serious issue as it involves your freedom to make choices about your health. Avaaz makes things happen. :)
