Well, I went to check it out... lots of great gear (no Warwick?).. the Alleva Coppollo basses were my choice pick.
Saw some big names: Tony Levin, MeShell, Bakithi Kumalo, Doug Wimbish, Stu Hamm.
Really the only thing I didn't like it was the racket made by all the slappers and tappers who'd turned up to try everything out. I appreciate everyone's desire to play their own 'thing' but seriously... USE YOUR EARS FELLAS!
Even the artists had something to say about it... I was sharing the elevator with un-named superstar bassist who was commenting on his playing at his booth.. 'I think it sounded ok but I couldn't hear a f**king thing!'. Reason being that even though it was clear who this guy was and that he was about to perform, some jackass in the booth next door continued to slap and thump, completely oblivious to what was going on 3 feet away.
*sigh*
Anyway, I am curious as to why Warwick wasn't there?

Yeah well the country's nice enough, it's just that all my favorite artists never swoop by (except Marcus Miller, whom I'll be seeing live this thuesday
) Anyway, a small country, secure in a way, but so damn small.... But I'm not complaining

I went to Boston, stayed at my girlfriends dorm but she got sick. Than i went to my family party in lowell, like 40 minutes away, and i was about to take the commuter train back to her place but she got even more sick and i missed my train. So my parents had to drive into boston to get my stuff, and we decieded to drive my girlfriend back home because of her fever too, so i had to go back to new hampshire, than leave my house at 10 and got on a train i almost missed back to new york, whoich took 10 hours.
Quite fun.
