Hi Chico, welcome to the forum,

I don't think that they can be made active. Your best bet would be to buy a new set of pickups that are active. I could be wrong but I have not heard of anyone converting their pickups from passive to active.

Welcome to the forum Chico.
No, you cannot make them active. Active pickups are made different, they are low impedance pickups, and have a built in preamp to boost the output to a normal level.

It's true you can't change the pickups from pass to active,but you can add a active preamp.Maybe thats what he's asking about :?:
