Band audition tomorrow night, which bass to take?

auditioning for a metl/prog rock band and I cant decide whether to take my Bleached or my Thumb 5. My 30th Aniversary Stingray is already going as I have a couple tunes that I wrote on it that I need its tone for, but I cant decide which Thumb gets to go.


Decisions, decisions....

Owning a bleached blonde myself, I would suggest the Thumb 5. The bleached is a great bass, but not as versatile as the Thumb BO standard if you know what I mean.
 
The ovangkol Thumb gets my vote (from a progressive rock bassist). The warm tone of ovangkol is far better suited than what the maple monster, while sexy as hell, can deliver. Good luck at the audition either way...
 
I'm in a metal bend and I highly reccomend to take the Thumb BO 5. I have the same bass and the growliness works great in a metal bend.

well damn, I picked up my Thumb5 and got ready to go to work before the audition, and well, it needs a serious setup. Seems the weather here has messed with it more than I thought :(

I think I may have to take my Bleached Blonde after all.
 
Why not just take all your basses?I don't wanna sound negative but you know better than anyone which bass to grab.
 
I only have room in my car for two :D

Plus, it was good to hear w hat people prefer for prog rock and metal type stuff, it igves me ideas for stuff to write.
 
well, not only am I being asked back for a second audition, but the bleached blonde cut through enough for the time being. I just finished setting p my Thumb 5 so that is ready to go for next week I hope they are prepared to be blown away :D 8)
