i need someone from the past 100's that had a major impact on USA music (and is from the US). preferbly a bass player :D
so far, i have Jaco
any other ideas?
 
Oscar Pettiford perhaps. Charles Mingus more than anyone else

what? the reason i asked is i have to write a paper! the only reason i like the jaco paper is because i wrote a paper about him a few years ago for a middle school project...so all i would need to do is rewrite the paper so it's relevant for this paper...

I think Golem was reffering to Flipper's post Andrew.I tend to agree with him on this.It borders on racism.

By any chance a reference to Southpark ?? I think it was mentioned before on this forum (a different version though)............A similar comment made by Chef I believe...... :roll:

i didn't think anything of it because it IS a southpark reference.
scene:cartman is trying to make a fake christian rock band so they can make money.

clyde:but i don't have a bass...

few minutes later at cartman's house

Nobody has mentioned who patented the technique of slap? Larry Graham! I think it deserves an important place in the history of music!
