Another Pick Up Question

I have a Vette Jazzman 5 bass. I'm considering in getting Barts for it. I was thinking of changing the pick ups now and the pre-amp at a later time. First the Pick ups. Will there be any problem leaving the pre- amp for now?
And is the pre-amp, that is in now, a Seymour Duncan?

Hi Omroi,

I think the 'Vette Jazzmans come with the MEC preamp in standard configuration, and I don't think there would be any problem with keeping it in there with the Barts.

Current Jazzman basses as fitted with the MEC 3-way preamp, unless specified by you as a custom feature.

Leaving the preamp for now and chaging it later is not a bad idea. It might even give you a chance to try the Barts with the MEC preamp and see how that works for you, and if it doesn't, then you can switch the preamp to an SD, Aguilar or Bartolini.
