:? Please forive me for beating a dead horse. I have a string question. I have an Infinity SN and I'm currently using DR "long necks" for strings. As you know these are taperwound strings. (Loving the tone, btw)
Question: Do the taper wound strings indeed provide a more focused low E/B? I'm a finger picker and I like to dig in. Consiquently, I find myself wearing out a set in just a few sessions. (no acid sweat or clammy palms etc.) DR's, though sweet strings, are spendy (to me) and I'm wondering if I really need a taper wound string. Obviously others are using different brands with good results. I've had good luck with D'Adarrio XL's in the past.
Any recommendations or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
