After production matched headstock?

I have a standard bubinga vette. Love it, I love the wood, I love it all. The only thing I want to change is the headstock! I love the bubinga grain so much. Is there a way I can order a headstock "plate". A thin piece of wood I can then mond to my headstock to make it a match? If it isn't possible to get it from warwick, does anyone know where I can get a piece of bubinga to plane and shape myself? Hmmm.... I love those match headstocks.

At this time it is not possible for you to get it through Warwick. What you can do is just contact a luthier that would replace the one you have with a standard bubinga plate.

for a skilled luthier shouldn't be hard to sand down the black (is that just paint or some kind of composite?) and apply some bubinga veener

It is a composite.

On the late 80s / early 90s basses, wasnt it an ebony vaneer?

Wow, that's unusual! I have no idea. It doesn't closely resenble any of the woods currenty offered by the custom shop.

The wood is Cherry. Early Streamers were made from that wood. This one looks a little different because it has a Honey Violin finish.

The very early Warwick had an ebony veneer, but it was changed to the composite really early on.
