Are the Rockbass Corvette passive controls more or less the same controls as the passive Warwick models? That is, master volume, blend and tone? Or is it Volume, volume, tone? Or is it something altogether different?

Just hearing there was a passive version available made me happy though, so I'll adjust to whatever the setup is gladly.

Everything is picked out now, everything is perfect, now it's just a matter of finding the right finish. Of all the colours offered on the basic series, which ones look the most appealing? Do they look quality? I'm considering the vintage white, does that age well?

for what its worth i really like the Vintage White..... would love a Vamp in it!
 
Rockbass Corvette has four pots:

Volume, Blend, Tone, Tone

;)

Warwick Corvette has three pots:

Volume, Blend, Master tone.
 
That's peculiar, is it very efficient? Is it complex to get the hang of?
 
I have the blue stain in an RB Vette and it looks really nice.
 
Ahh so many questions, is the grain very visible with that blue stain? In the catalog it seems decently exposed, but blue may not be very me. :(
 
I've seen a blue fretless RB vette in my shop before and loved its look so much! the only other finsh i'd get is the almond burst corvette classic with that flame maple top. just sexy...
 
The classic only has a veneer... you'd need the vette premium which has the actual top to get that beautiful flamed maple shimmering
 
but you don't have that stained sunburst finish that imo looks good on a RB vette ;)

so sexy that I had to get one myself. could not resist it.

The only one htta could beat it is the specail edition one but they did not have any more 5 stringers only 4 stringers so this plus the additional (big) difference in price convinced me to get the Classic with the Almondburst finish.

The grain is really evident. I'm not a big fan of blue anything, got this one cheap as chips on Ebay in unused condition. The blue is really nice.
 
Excellent. Is the bookmatching very noticable?

Because I don't want it to end up like my Squier VM Fretless jazz:



Where the upper half is all spotty and the bottom looks a bit more normal.

And of course, if I get one in vintage white it won't be a problem at all, due to lack of grain visibility, yeah?

I'm nit picking a bit, but I'm trying to insure I get the absolute most perfect instrument.
