A Happy Warwick story

In three days time I will be graduating from year 12, my last year of school in Australia. As part of my HSC for music I was required to play four contrasting pieces of music on my chosen instrument...unfortunately I play two instruments so that kinda shook me up. I took the plunge and decided to play Stanley Clarke's "School Days," Weather Report's "Birdland" and Muse's "Knights of Cydonia." These songs rarely saw me going below the 12th fret so it was real "shred material." My final song was Mike Stern's "Chromazone" on saxophone.

This brings me to my story. I sat my music exam playing my OLP MM2, a bass that I've been greatly dissappointed with since the outset, but due to my "poor student" status have not been able to upgrade. I sat the exam a number of weeks ago, however just this last weekend our class put on a concert, playing those same songs, to the "general public."

A good friend of mine, Nik: avid Warwick enthusiast, kindly let me borrow his gorgeous Corvette $$ for the evening, and as I hit the first note of Knights, I realised exactly what all YOU Warickheads are on about! As I said, most of my songs were up in shred territory, and Nik's little monster just SINGS up above the 12th...and it felt so so so so good. I've had my eyes on a Corvette for some time, and if my parents are generous enough to hit me with a nice "graduation present," I may see a Warwick in my own living room!

These basses are addictive. they are truly awesome and hope you can get one soon. fell free to be a member to the forum even if you do not have a Warwick.

Looks like a Lakland Skyline, OLP MM2, EBMM Sting Ray, and an EBMM SUB bass... Quite an array!
 
yeah, see the pg on the black one was fooling me... I knew that was an OLP guard, but I know they're also available aftermarket... black haadstock made me believe SUB...

Hmm, either way... Can't wait to get a Sterling. :D

For me, it was love at first note with Warwick!

Well they said the Death Star could never be destroyed....and it happened twice, so maybe there still is a hope for me and Warwick.
