At the risk of sounding a bit cheesy, let me just say...

I don't care if an instrument costs $10 or $10,000. What's important is the effect you can have on yourself and the people around you with that instrument in your hands that's priceless.

Congratulations on the new bass...

So cheesy....Bu Soooo true. I got a $300 Squier70's vintage modified that plays better than most USA Jazz basses.Of corse it has a bad ass 2 bridge ,hipshot tuners, Nordstrand pups and after market pots but it just rips. Thanks !

Congratulations! It sounds like you got a great deal. I also have a killer-sounding Squier Vintage Modified Jazz Fretless which I put on a Squier Affinity P-Bass neck, a Bad Ass II (slotted) bridge, and just today replaced the tone pot with an CTG 250K pot and .047u capacitor. Even though it had a 500K pot before and a .06Xu cap, I thought it might sound better with more treble roll-off. (At least that's what I think it's supposed to do. :-) ).

How do the Nordstrand pickups compare to the Seymour Duncan designed ones?

Thanks ! Yeh the bubinga body with the flame maple neck contrast hooked me immediately . But it does play and sound awesome to boot. I actually bought the squier this way not even a month old. Guy was hurting for quick cash. The Nostrand's sound amazing, I play slap, funk, jazz ,metal( Anything but country) and that thing can do it all. Sure my Trace helps thou !
