18V powered MEC's?

Greetings Warwick forum!

I'vre recently bought a pair of MEC active P style pickups. Since I didn't know where else to post this question, here goes: Does anybody know if active MEC's can be powered by 18V instead of just 9V, like EMG's for instance? I emailed the technical support team at MEC but so far they haven't answered my question, so I thought maybe some of you goys might know

If you look at warwick mec wiring diagrams with 18v pre amps they run
the pickups at 9v so i guess the pickups only run at 9v

They only run on 9 volts,but provide similar headroom that an 18 volt system provides.
