Dodging A Strap Lock Tragedy: A True Story

Chapter One: Shortly after receiving my brand new Rockbass I decided it would be a good idea to change out the strap lock buttons. I had both read about and seen the nightmares of failed stock strap locks and decided I wasn't going to be the next victim of an accidental push button malfunction...

Just A Nut screws completely stripped.

I've been a proud player of a Warwick Corvette Standard 5-string for the last two years. I took my bass to Cleveland Music to have the action adjusted and the neck straightened and realized that the screws on my Just a Nut were completely stripped and came right out. Do I need a new Just a Nut...

    Stripped the Pro Line tonight...

Hi guys and gals. I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me identify the wood that has been used on my Streamer. From past experience I am aware that Streamers from that period would have been either Cherry or Maple, however this doesn't look like either of those (I've owned both...

I think my d string saddle lock is stripped on my Thumb.

When I try to tighten the lock on the saddle of the d string, it will begin to become tight but then get really loose again. What I've done is just stop where it starts to get a little tight and then I left it. Will this affect anything on my bass. Will I end up having to send this back to...
