I have a Thumb 4 NT and im wondering why it pops/crackles when i touch it? When i lay my hand on a string or any of the knobs... Its not a problem when im playing until i take both hands off and go back to playing i can hear it kind of crackle.. Is it because the pickups are just so hot or is it...

I have newer strings on my $$ and now that they are broken it I am getting that click like when the string get to close to the PU's. Is there something I can adjust on my EQ to keep it from accenting the clicks as much? Should I get it reset up. I love the sound so I want to stay with these...
