peg

I just changed strings in my streamer stage one and the tuning peg for the A string colapsed... :confused: it just broke. Here's a picture: Should I solder it or just buy a new one, what do you think?

or should i say, the shaft snapped :roll: i took the $$ out of the case today, checked the tuning and the shaft on the D string popped off :shock: ..can you imagine my facial expression? a couple pics:

I've notice that the nut that hold the tuning pegs in place are loose. Should they be hand tight or do I really need to crank down on them?

my Warwick strap locks have somehow grinded out the inside of the strap peg on my Vette standard's top horn so much so that I think the lock will not stay on soon. this is a little disappointing as I have only owned the bass for a few months. My question is on how would I obtain a new peg and...
