microbass

Hey all, I have a question about the EBS Microbass II preamp. I know you can do some nice tweaking on it to give your bass more balls and stuff, but I would like to know if you keep everything set flat, how does it sound ?? Amps like the Ampeg and Mesa colour the sound (midrange mostly)...

.... just to kill the G.A.S. for the moment. :P :P Can't wait until I pick it up.

forgetting about the price difference and the fact that the ebs microbass is so much more packed with features which "sounds" the best. the sansamp bass driver or the microbass 2? also which one do you reakon has the best sounding distortion? from the smallest bit of distortion just...
