Call me dumb for asking this question, but will DR strings FIT on a warwick? I have a 34" scale corvette $$, but when I buy D'Addarios, I have to buy SUPER long scale since the strings' taper needs to clear the nut, and the bridge adds to the required length. Is this the case for DR's? I'd love...

I've owned a 4-string frettless Corvette for about a year now and I get a great sustained "muwah" sound from the E A and D strings, but the G string just doesn't sustain very well. The sound just dies out. Could it be related to the height of the string and/or relief of the neck?
