consideration

I'm considering buying a 1991 Streamer II. But it's got Basslines pickups and electronics installed instead of the original. I like the bass but I am unsettled over this. Any suggestions? Thanks!

How would that sound? Let's take a thumb BO: the growly tone, the midrangy cut-through-the-mix-like-a-hot-knife-through-butter character comes from the Bridge Js, among other things... What would happen to that character is instead of Bridge Js, the Thumb BO was equipped with Mirrored Ps...

Personally, my primary consideration for buying a bass is the pickups. But the majority of our Warwick bass posts are discussions about what woods are used, possibly for good reason. I thought it might be interesting to hear everyone's take...
