Hi.

I have a long standing issue with my Warwick Dark Lord.
I really enjoy this bass but it looks like it came from very beginning with defect tuners.
When my mom bought me this bass i was pretty newbie and i did not understand about bass much so this issue was not alarmed by me.

If i am not wrong as what i remember from old Warwick forum some Warwick basses in time period of my bass got defect tuners and Warwick replaced them for free under warranty.

Awry day tuning goes down about 1 step and stay about there from standart #F tuning on all string.
I use standart Warwick Dark Lord strings.

Ofcause in my case warranty gone long time ago. This bass was bought by my mom about 10 or more years ago.

Is there any chance Warwick still will replace them?! Because tuners were defect from factory!

No chance. But new tuners aren’t expensive.

Hey @sasha , nice to see you. I guess your only option is to replace them. But this can be good because you have a choice among many quality tuners, Schaller, Hipshot, Gotoh etc. If you want something affordable you could try Warwick tuners again, but I wouldn't risk it if I were in your position. :)

I'd recommend Gotoh GB707 because I like the shape.
But there is approximately 0 chances you can get them for free.

Thank you guys for replay.

Unfortionaly right now i am not in position to replace tuners because there is a war in my country so awrybody here in wary bad economical situation.
Alot of people in my country have income of about 114$- 200$ a month.

So for a time been i will stay with old tuners and enjoy my great bass!!!
I wrote a letter with the same quation to Warwick support, so i see if anything good might happen. But if no then no.

Thanks for the kind offer but i guess it will not work for me.
Because my guess postage will be about 50-100 $ to Ukraine.
But my moths income is about 20 $ :(
I have no income anymore as in past when i was living in Canada.
There is a war in my country.
And also my mother passed away about a year ago who helped me enormously.

P.s. Also there is no 100% garante you tuners will feet my bass because i am not sure if Warwick tuners are defect or Warwick putted different size of tuner's holes to Warwick Dark Lord bass.

Do you need gold or chrome?
My dream to change all hardware (bridge, tuners, knobs and etc) to gold and with brass nut. And switch from digital software to real analog amplification. But that is when i will be rich again:D
or Santa Claus actually is real!!!;)

Do you read any of the replies? People already offered you the hardware for free. I'd jump on the offer if I were you but hey, I am no expert of course...

I cannot pay postage. It is too much for me. My moth income is about 20$ and that is not a joke!!!
