Xtreme - Tubepath - Cabs

iam Chris and iam new on warwick forums

Well here is my question
I have a Warwick Corvette $$ SE and a Warwick sweet 25.1 combo and i was happy enough
until the guitarist from my band got a Marshall 1959 head + the cabs, now i need something
with more power i cant hear the bass anymore.

so i have been searching for head amps and seems that the Warwick xtreme 5.1 or the tubepath 5.1 are very good choices

what do you guys have to recommend the xtreme or the tubepath ?
and what kind of cabs, 2 x 4x10 or 1x 1x15 and 1x 4x10 ??

which setup is better and why ?

PS in the band we play everything except metal (mostly funk and 70s rock)
 
Welcome,

If you are doing anything but Metal then you're probably looking for something more old school, so try the tubepath. The difference between that and the X-Treme would be the valves I believe so it's warmer and old school. As for cabs either of those combinations would work just fine.
 
Hi Chris, welcome to the forum, man!

My fax setup was Tubepath 10.1 plus 2X 411 pro.

well i went to the local store today and test the tubepath 10.1 with 2 411nd cabs
i think iam gonna go with this setup
 
I can't say I blame you in the slightest. I have two 411ND's and they sound lovely. Enjoy

Hi Chris,

I have a Tubepath 5.1 which I absolutely adore. I love the chrunchy sound you can get, which works perfectly for the stuff we do (70s80s hard/heavy rock). I play through a WCA 611 which is very nice, too, but I must say the setup was better with a (cheesy China-AMpeg) 410 and WCA 115. It had a mightier bass and sounded vintage-ier. But then, I love the looks of the 611. And as I had to find out a few weeks ago the night before a gig - neither 611 nor 115 fit in the boot of my car!
