WTB - 3-band Onboard Preamp for Passive Pickups, preferably stock MEC

Hello friends,

I'm eventually putting a project together and I'm stuck on what preamp I want. I'm also after a deal/used stuff as well, so maybe the forum can simplify my search if something cool is available.

Basically, I want a 3-band preamp with four knobs that has pots for passive pickups. Stacked blend, Vol/Vol, it's all good, I just want 4 knobs and 3 bands.

If someone has something slammin' that's a 4-knob two band, I'd consider it as well.

Frankly, my first choice is a stock MEC 3-band preamp, but the passive blend isn't too common on those models (frankly only the Jazzman and Thumb SC would have it). I'd also love a Glockenklang 3-band.

Do you like the OBP-3 in your Thumb NT? I have one in my SSII. I would use it in another bass if the opportunity arose.

I think it's a great preamp. It's also great in a Fender I have, and it's a great go-to preamp, but I'm thinking of seeing what variety is available.

The OBP-3 is definitely high up on the list, as is the OBP-2, believe it or not.

And, for what it's worth, if I get a Glock or MEC preamp that works, I can use some of my leftover stack knobs that have been rendered useless since only MEC and Fender seem to use stack pots that thin <.< >.>
