Writing on pickups?

I've only just realised that the pickups on my Thumb BO (2004 model) don't have MEC written them. I was assured when I bought it that it was all original. Does it just simply wear off?

I've been dealing with the people I bought it off for years and they've always been great with no problems.

yes sir! they wear off all the time. they're gone from my rockbass but still there on my wick.

I usually just rub mine off when I get them. I think that the pups look bad when they have a messed up MEC logo on them.

I did the same on my Streamer LX 5... Logos started to wear off so I rubbed them and erased them.

If ya wanna be certain they're MEC's.Unscrew them & turn them over.There should be a label. :wink:
