What??? Who wouldn't like a bass when a good stripper pole was in question. He must have meant something else, like maybe a fishing pole and meant basses as in the fish. I would then have to agree with him, I don't like bass myself.
 
Well, it`s such a big thing to have in your lap when you watch strippers, but what`s you supposed to do when you let your line out and someone bites on it?

Only problem with your theory is that the pleural of bass is bass and the pleural of bass is basses. He said basses. BTW, I always have something big in my lap when watching strippers. It's a curse really.

EZ solution:

Just shorten the strap a bit, so the
bass hangs just above the pole ....

Then, with such improved visibility,
you can get some tight jeans or go
the vintage spandex trip ... y'know,
stuff a sock in it ?
